Well summer is in full swing in Penticton, and in Penticton we’re all about the BEACHES! If you haven’t been here, you should know that we have beautiful beaches on the north and south ends of town. And Casa Grande Inn is Penticton ONLY Bed and Breakfast across from Okanagan Beach on Lakeshore drive, on the north end of town. Here is a shot I took with Instagram just the other day, of the beach right out front of Casa Grande Inn.
We have seen some fantastic changes to the waterfront. There is talk of a whole expansion project offering a day marina behind the SS Sicamous (the large boat/museum/event centre dry docked on the beach in front of Casa. However, until then the have made it possible for people to pull up their boats and seadoos right to the beach right in front of Casa! There is even opportunity to rent a variety of boats, right on the beach!
Here’s something you don’t see everyday…unless you’re staying at Casa Grande Inn…ROCKET MAN! Actually the device is called Flyboard Jet Boots…google it, it’s cool! And YES you can give them a try, right out front of Casa Grande Inn! The guys are really nice who operate it, and they give really great instructions. You are guaranteed to fly, and most people get the hang of it right away!
Plus Don’t forget about the Famous River Channel Float, the entrance to the channel is just steps away from us! You jus hop on a floaty and float doen the channel all the way to Skaha beach. At the half way mark, you might even hear Relvis singing Elvis Tunes at the REZtaurant, a great place to eat by the way!
Of course, Penticton is so much more than just beaches, like wineries, fruit stands, markets, festivals, biking, hiking, bird watching, horseback riding, and much much more.
