REVVED UP AND SWAP MEET READY!
(SOEC press release)

The South Okanagan Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada (VCCC) is holding their 23rd Annual Automotive, Motorcycle and Antique Swap Meet on Saturday, April 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For the fifth consecutive year, vendors from all over the province will fill the parking spaces surrounding the South Okanagan Events Centre.

“There’s something for everyone, and everyone’s welcome at the 23rd annual swap meet. It’s great family fun. Last year, we had over 1,700 shoppers,” notes Ron Garay, Swap Meet Registration Coordinator and Past President of the Vintage Car Club of Canada. “It’s a surprise. You never know what you will see and what might be for sale.”

This year, 100 vendors will be featured outside with an additional 50 vendors located inside the Penticton Curling Club. Merchandise will include: vintage vehicles, motorcycles, manuals, custom and muscle car parts. Antiques and memorabilia, such as glassware, brand specific glassware, antique auto license plates, toys, badges, old stock glass car lenses and tail lights will also be for sale. Speaking from experience, Garay suggests “if you see something you like, buy it. Don’t hesitate because, before you know it, it will be gone.”

Admission to the swap meet is $2. To encourage family participation, children 12 and under are free. A concession will be on-site serving breakfast and lunch.
